A source from the Awami League confirmed that he died on Thursday (January 3th) at Bamrungrad Hospital in Thailand. He was suffering from lung cancer for a long time. At the time of his death, he was 68 years old.
He was a member of the presidium in the present committee of Awami League. He was also acting as a public administration minister. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and President Advocate Md. Abdul Hamid said the mourning.
